Jacob trying to get my camera with the "num nums".
My silly boys.
Jacob crawled into bed with me around 7:30. Adam woke up wet so I changed him and lay him back in his crib. He slept until 9:30. Jacob and I got up to watch Curious George at 8am. Then I cut index cards in half and Jacob helped me choose colors and think of things to draw on them. We drew six different things (like heart, triangle, letter J) on twelve cards and colored them in. Then we played the matching game. Jacob loved this game and surprised me at how well he remembered where the matches were. He'd put his head down on the counter with a big smile on his face and his legs shaking and he'd say, "I'm really cited(excited)!". This morning Adam wanted me to read the Hondo and Fabian book over and over. After I get done reading it he says, "daa (again) bebe (baby)". He loves to stair, like 2 inches away, at the last page which is the baby sleeping in bed. He also likes to give her kisses. When he brings me the book he says, "bebe (baby), bebe". The boys played with the wheels pal toys while I cleaned out and organized Jacob’s closet. I called my sister Mel and talked to her for a while. She told me about the fun time they had on their rainy camping trip this past weekend. Jacob ran and lay on top of Adam and said, “dog pile”. They both laughed as I wrapped my arms around them and said, “dog pile”. We went outside to let the chickens out of their coop and Jacob collected the eggs. Adam carried a bag of old bread, buns, and crackers to feed to the chickens. Around 1:30 we headed into town. We had found a brand new Britax car seat at Goodwill and sold it on ebay. I needed to get it shipped to Kansas. First we went to the dollar store to buy some packing tape. Then we went to the post office. I packaged up the car seat in the parking lot. Jacob liked helping me push the tape down. He also liked playing with pieces of tape. I thought about how to get both boys and this large box into the post office. I got out the umbrella stroller and Jacob pushed Adam on the sidewalk and inside for me. He did a great job and didn’t want me to help him at all. When it was our turn, the lady weighed and measured it. She told me the cheapest they could ship it would be $75. I decided to take it to DHL and check their price. They were very busy. Their price to ship it was $34 – much better. We then had to drive to the elevator and pick up chicken food because the chickens were completely out of food. The boys liked looking at all the fish and the bunnies in the store. They also liked sitting on the saddled reindeer. Jacob was excited to ride in the front seat as we drove across the parking lot to pick up the grain. He wanted to buckle up in seat next to me. We watched the man load the 4 bags into the back of the car. He asked Jacob if he was going to unload them at home. We had to stop at meijer for a couple things. As we headed for the checkout Jacob said he had to go “potty, really bad”. He cried. I tried to assure him we were headed to the bathroomsk, but he couldn’t “hold it” and had an accident. I asked the greeter for some paper towels so I could clean up the mess. I felt bad for Jacob. Back at the car I changed him into dry clothes. He said, “look, I love you Mommy”. We didn’t get home until around 5pm. Mom, Kenzie and a friend from Kenzie’s school were there when we got home. Adam, who was very tired, took a late nap. Jacob played in the sand with Daddy. I saddled up Sammy for the girls to ride (scroll down for pictures). They had fun. Nana also got to ride. The girls were really excited to see a chicken lay an egg. They stayed for dinner. Jacob showed off for the girls. He liked sitting at the counter by them as we ate dinner. Truman showed off all of his tricks. Jared had class from 7 – 10:30pm. Jacob played with his moon sand and Adam had fun racing wheels pal cars down the racetrack. I worked on making a daily “chores” chart for Adam because he loves Jacob’s chart so much. They took their Frisbees in the tub and some little people. After brushing their teeth they had fun turning the lights off and watching them blink. After Adam was in bed I read to Jacob. Then I rocked him in the rocker and we sang a bunch of songs together. I (we) really enjoyed that time.

I thought I was seeing Penny on the horse even before I clicked on the picture. And...the second picture of Jacob is the best. I think there is a smile on every inch of his face. What a fun looking picture of a boy filled with happiness. Missing you all. I wish gas prices would come down. The blog helps a bunch. Love you all.
I, too, thought that was your mother on the horse, Kimmy!
And here you go again -- Adam with his daily chores chart! The little one wanting to be like his big brother! When Jacob was Adam's age, he didn't get to have chores chart!!!! Poor Jacob!
Just wait until Adam starts to play the memory game . . .
Kimmy also check out the UPS store if you have one around..they can usually ship it ground for not too much either.
Hey, Mom even mounted Sammy from the ground (no step). Pretty amazing for a women of her age - 39 years and holding.
I thought about going to UPS but the boys and I were ready get home.
Please...don't talk about the age of anyone who you might think is over 50. Our years stop at that age. You'll catch on some day.
