Were'd it go?

This morning Jared and I went outside to take care of the animals. Jared left for work and I finished packing the van. Around 8am Jacob came out of his bedroom with his blankey and said, "Mommy, no it dark out no more". I woke Adam up and got the boys their breakfast. I met Vikki at ToysRUs at 9:30 but they weren't open yet. We went to Old navy to exchange some sandles for Adam. Back at ToysRUs Aunt "Bippi" got the boys some straw cups. Jacob's has his name on it and Adam's (since they didn't have his name) has the alphabet on it. Vikki came with me to take the boys to their doctor appointment at 10:3o. At the appointment they gave me a clipboard of questions to ask, or go through, with Jacob. It had me show him some pictures and he had to tell me what they were, or copy a line like the example, but his favorite was the one where he needed to jump over the clipboard. They wanted to know if he jumped with both feet or one foot forward. He loved jumping over the clipboard and did that several times. We were called back and Jacob stood on the scale and stood by the wall to be measured. Then they had him sit on a chair and then handed him a board with four pictures (circle, square, house, and something else). He got shy and didn't want to participate. They took us to the room where we undressed Adam to be weighed. Then she wanted to take Jacob's blood pressure. He crawled under the chair. I helped him out and stood by him as she took him bp. He wasn't to sure when it started to squeeze his arm and but thought it was ok once she released the pressure. Adam didn't like his head measured and also didn't like when Aunt "Bippi" set him on the table to be measured. Jacob wanted Adam to get his exam first so I held Adam on my lap as she did the exam. Then it was Jacob's turn. He crawled under the chair again but came out when I asked him to. He sat on my lap and did great for his exam. Adam got three vaccinations and a poke on his finger to check for anemia. Jacob doesn't get any pokes until next year. Got to mom's house around 11:30. Jared was already there. Kenzie was excited because her parents gave her a cell phone and she gets to bring it along on our trip. The boys ate their lunch and we were on the road at almost 12:30. Adam fell asleep right away and slept for almost half the trip. Jacob played with his cars, magna doodle, or just watched out his window. He likes to look for "struction (construction) site" and see all their equipment. He was very chaty until he fell asleep. Kenzie played with her cell phone, taking pictures and texting her mom and Rody until she fell asleep. Adam woke up around 4pm and that about the time Jacob fell asleep. Adam really liked playing with his new straw cup and drank most of his water. He was talking loudly and was full of smiles. He started to get a little fussy around 5pm until we turned the music on. We had to stop for gas and Jacob needed a "potty break" around 5:15. Soon after we left the gas station Kenzie started complaining that she had to "use the bathroom - really bad!". We got to Grandma and Grandpa's around 5:45 and Kenzie ran straight for the bathroom. Jacob was excited to see that Grandma had a Mater ride on truck that can pull things. Adam sat on the other ride on car. Soon Eric, Kat, and Andrew arrived. The boys played until dinner. Jacob and Adam opened their gifts from Uncle Eric, Aunt Kat and Andrew. Jacob loved his Cars sippy/snack set and plate/silverware set. Adam opened a tool set and bag that Andrew was couldn't wait to play with. We ate dinner outside. Jacob and Andrew had fun walking on Grandma's path. While we were eating ice cream the sky got really dark and then it started raining with thunder and lightning. We had fun watching the boys play. Adam was very tired so I lay him down for bed a little early. He rubbed his eyes the whole time I was reading to him. Jacob and Andrew opened up toy fishing poles from Grandma and Grandpa. They sat in the "boat (Grandma's sled)" to go fishing. Jacob went upstairs with Kenzie for a little while. Andrew had lots of laughs while playing with Uncle Jared. Jared would hide the little stuffed animal in his pocket of Andrews shirt and then say "where'd it go". Andrew started lifting his hands (palms up) when Jared would say it. It was so cute! Around 9pm we tucked Kenzie and Jacob in bed. Were going to try and make it to the zoo tomorrow by 9am.
