Lets race down

Jacob woke up around 7:30 and he really wanted Kenzie to wake up with him. He was excited when she did and they asked for donuts. They ate cheerios and donuts for breakfast. Jared went to the gas station to get me a coffee. Adam woke up at around 9am. Jared started cleaning the gutters. The kids played until it was time to get ready for church. We left around 10:15. After church we went home to change and then meet Grandma and Grandpa at Steaknshake. When we got back it was around 2:30 and both boy took naps. Jared dug a hole and put in Grandma and Grandpa's new mailbox. He was sawing a board that needed to be sunk into the hole but it was really hard. Jared got a "bright" idea to prop the board up on the cement block and jump on it. Well, the board rolled and Jared landed with his butt on the board. His butt broke the board, but the piece he wasn't sitting on came flying at his head. Once he was able to stand up all he could do was laugh. He has a large bump on the side of his forehead. Eric, Kat, and Andrew came over. After the mailbox was put in, Jared went up on the roof and finished the gutters. He said there were thousands of little trees growing up there. Then Kenzie and I passed the hose up to him so he could wash them out. Kenzie liked standing on the ladder holding the hose. She had her bathing suit on and got sprayed several times by Uncle Jared. At 4:30 we woke the boys up and got them in the van. We all headed over to the water park and playground. My boys didn't want to go under the spraying water but enjoyed playing in the play stream. The play stream had little spouts that shot out water off and on. They really liked that. Andrew loved running through the spraying water and also enjoyed playing in the stream. He'd go up on the hill and run down into the water. Before leaving Jacob wanted to go play at the playground so we took the boys over there. Kenzie liked the big slides and the rope climber. The boys both liked the tractor. Jacob drove it and called it his "big old tractor". At the front of the tractor were steps up to the driving area and the back of the tractor were two straight slides. Adam went down the slide by himself. He went up the steps and down the slide several times. Then he decided it was faster to climb up the slide in his bare feet. He'd climb up to the top, turn around and slide back down. Jacob took me around the tractor to show me all four tires and his plow. It was around 6:30 and we were going to have a late dinner so the kids had cracker and cheese snacks on the drive home. After dinner we celebrated Adam, Jacob, and Eric's birthday. Grandma made a cake and the frosting had it divided into three sections. Each section had candles with their ages. Jacob blew all the candles out after we sang "Happy Birthday". Jacob couldn't wait to open his presents and asked for more presents once finished. We took the boys outside to play in the neighbors sand box with their new sand toys. Kenzie stepped on something and cut the heel of her foot. It was bleeding pretty bad. Grandma got some cold water and Uncle Jared got the bandaides. They patched her up and she was soon back playing again. Jared went up on the roof to patch a hole and Kenzie went up with him. It was getting dark so Eric, Kat and Andrew headed home and we took the boys in to get ready for bed. Kenzie read Jacob from his new Cars books. Jacob wanted to go to sleep with his new matchbox tractor.

Another full day. Wow!
When will Jared learn not to follow up on his most brilliant ideas? I think just the mediocre ideas are the ones to put into practice -- like the idea of digging the hole deep and wide enough before you put the post in.
What church do you like when you are visiting in Indianapolis? Is there a Free Methodist there?
Poor JB...He has a mother that has done a few dumb things in her life and the gene has been passed on. Life certainly gets very interesting. This morning we dug a bunch of plants that will be moving to Michigan. It's quite a collection.
The water park looks like a fun place too. The boys all look so cute in their swim trunks.
I also love the picturs of Kenzie and Jacob posing with their hands up by their cheeks. Too funny what Jared did. Too bad you didn't get it on video.
Thats what we said. I'd have sent it into AFV.
