All the kids woke up around 8:30. Jacob was so excited to go in and see Max. He said, “I love Max, I toe eccited, I wanna go tee him and tay – boo”. Jacob and Max went right for the ride on cars this morning. During breakfast Jacob wanted Max to sit right next to him, so I put their chairs on the same side of the table. Jacob had to get down and scoot the chairs closer together. After breakfast all three boy rode on ride on cars. Jacob and Max rode on the dump truck together. Then they played with the cars. They play so well together. During Sesame Street I trimmed up Max’s hair with the clippers. I didn’t have them with me the other day when I cut his hair. He wasn’t happy about getting his hair cut so Jacob brought him his matchbox semi truck to play with. The boys had fun playing with the ball popper and chasing the balls that fell out. Then we got out the coloring books and sticker books. Max liked the stickers and kept saying, "I want lots and lots". Adam sat on my lap and colored some. During lunch Jacob and Max were giggling a lot. They held out their arms at each other and pretended they were spraying hoses as they made spraying sounds. After lunch they played with the Little People barn and things. Mel called and talked to Max. Then Hailey talked to Max and Jacob. We went outside for about an hour until naptime. First we let the chickens out of their coop. Jacob and Max sat in the grass petting Tiger who was between them. A truck drove down our road and Adam waved until he couldn’t see it any more. Jacob said, “dat look like Jeanie and Leonard’s truck”. We took a walk in the barn and the boys played up in the hay area. Adam loved walking around up there. Jacob and Max climbed up on a hay bale. Max carried some chicken poop over to me and said, “here you go” as he handed it to me. We went inside to wash our hands. The boys had a snack and a drink. At 2:30 I lay Adam down for a nap. Then I rocked Max and Jacob and we sang a few songs. Max took a nap and Jacob rested. I had a huge pile of laundry to fold. When Jacob was done resting he came and helped me. He folded the washcloths for me. Jared came home from work at 4:30 and I left for Mom’s house. Mel, Hailey and I left from there at around 5:30. We headed over to pick Bruce up before going to the theater for Hailey’s dance recital. On the drive to pick up Bruce I asked Mel if she had remembered everything. She then remembered she had forgotten Hailey’s dress at Mom’s house. We turned around to get it and Kenzie met us at the end of the driveway with it. The dance started at 7pm and we needed to have Hailey there by 6pm. We were only a few minutes late. When we got there Hailey wanted me to take her to the bathroom. In the changing room we got her in her dress and took some pictures. She had fun posing for the camera and seemed very excited. Around 6:45 her teacher had them all line up and they walked down the hallway holding hands. Her group was one first to perform on stage. Mom, Dad, and I watched from the balcony. Hailey did such a great job dancing. We were so proud of her. During intermission I called Jared. Jared said Jacob was really missing me. I talked to Jacob and he said, “I toe tad, I want you a hold me”. He gave the phone a big hug and a kiss. After intermission, Hailey came and sat up in the balcony with us for a few dances. Then we went down and sat in some close seating with Mel and Bruce. We left around 9:45. I drove with Mom back to her place to get my car. On the way we stopped for a Tim Horton’s cappuccino. Got home around 10:45. Mel and Bruce were there to pick up Max. Jared said the boys had fun. They spent some time playing outside. Max got his blankey and was ready for bed around 8pm. Jacob had a hard time going to bed and cried because he wanted “Mommy”. He was asleep when I got home. I went in and gave him a hug and kiss goodnight.

Another busy day -- how nice when cousins have such fun together! (and brothers, too!) Jacob certainly loves his mommy, doesn't he? (It's good to know that -- since he seems to love his daddy so much. I guess he is an equal opportunity loving boy.)
Thanks so much for watching Max for us. He sure had a great time. He told me all about the chickens and horses and playing trucks with Jacob. He also told me about seeing motorcycles and tractors while riding in the car. He's been talking about it all day today too.
