Jacob had a fun time today playing peek-a-boo with his reflection in the big window behind our couch when its dark out. He was laughing so hard and when I asked who he was playing with he excitedly said, "ME". I used my steamer to clean the cupboards and also got Adam's summer clothes packed away. Jacob was excited to find candy from cookie decorations on the floor. He picked all he could find up and put them on the table saying, "no eat, just look".

That is so funny about Jacob playing with "himself" in the reflection. I got a good laugh.

Talk about big time expensive entertainment for children, you don't need it. What could be cheaper than a reflection. I'm curious about Dee/Cassion comments. Has this entertainment been recorded in any important books? You are writing wonderful memories about the family. You will have a book full very soon if not already starting with the oldest kid in the family, JB.

Well, I am not making any comments other than to wonder whether Jared knows about this anonymous person in Indiana calling Kimmy "Love."

OK, I can't resist making a comment related to Lela's and pointing out that infant observers have noted a lot of times the fascination shown when the child appears to recognize his/her own reflection -- I think Kat may have commented on this with Andrew. Jacob, of course, is far beyond that and is actually playing with his reflection. I would have to look around for some accounts of this -- but it certainly is a clear indication of his sense of his own self.

Dee/Bro C. What would we do without you. Our children/grandchildren/nephews/
grand nephews need you to help the oldest Russell with early childhood ed. The secret is out. I never tried to figure out my kids. Impossible! I still think Jacob has found a great new present even before Christmas. Makes me laugh right along with him.
