Christmas Eve 2007

Jared and I woke up around 7:30 and started getting ready for the day. Jacob woke up soon after and he and I went in to get Adam up. Jacob was so excited to see all the presents. He jumped around and said, "I like it, I like it". First the boys opened their stockings which were full of trucks and cars. They each got a new sippy cup and Jacob got chapstick, m&m's, and ticktacs. After stockings Jacob opened up his tricycle. He was very excited and took it for a ride. Adam loved playing with the money from his piggy bank. Next we gave Daddy one of his gifts - he opened up boxes of brad nails and asked if he was going to have to break them apart and use them. Jacob liked watching Daddy open his gifts too. I got a game and a vacuum from the boys (all three). After all the presents were open we had some time to play with our new toys. It was such a nice family time. Around 9:30 we headed over to my parents house. Mel, Vik and their families were arriving at the same time we did. Soon after, Mom arrived with my Grandpa. We always start off our Christmas with a prayer and Dad reading the Christmas story out of the Bible. Jacob wanted to sit on Nana's lap as Papa read. All the kids opened their presents first. My Grandpa opened up his gifts, then us girls, the guys, and my parents last. At around 1pm Chuck and Sue (family friends) came over to join us for our Christmas meal. The food was wonderful. Then the kids had time to play with their toys before taking their naps. At 5pm Mom and I left to exchange a rug and find some batteries for some of the toys. Kenzie played with her Nintendo and the other kids had fun playing with the racetrack. Later Mom and I put pictures on her new digital keychain. We got back home around 8:30 and got things organized while the boys played. Jacob kept going around to different toys he had gotten and playing with each one. I got out my new lamp and set it up. Jacob took his new Cars sleeping bag and wanted to go night night in his bed. After the boys were tucked in bed I packed for our trip. Didn't get to bed until 1:30 and the alarm went off at 3:30.

(Computer wasn't working to post last night. Its 4am and were just about to get on the road. Merry Christmas everyone!)

Merry Christmas! I can HEAR the excitement when I see these pictures! Thanks for sharing them.

I am glad to see that both Jared and Kimmy got toys they will enjoy.
