Woke up this morning to several inches of snow outside and a layer of ice on top of that. Jared plowed the driveway and I took Jacob out to play in the snow. I kicked the layer of ice of the top of the snow and was able to build a small snowman. Jacob helped me find sticks for his arms and rocks for his face. He really liked watching Daddy plow the snow. We did some Christmas shopping today and got a some ingrediants for making Christmas cookies. Jacob had fun putting the ingrediants in the bowl and watching it mix. He really liked tasting the sugar and playing with the flour. He looked at me and said, "I like plour Mama". He helped roll some dough and cut out a few cookies but mostly played with the cookie cutters and kept asking for more flour. Adam sat in his high chair and ate cheerios. He has figured out how to pick them up and put them in his mouth. He also loves crackers. When it came to decorating Jacob preferred to eat them. He did have fun decorating too. It was funny to watch him pour a big pile of sugar on his cookie - then we'd help him shake it off. He liked decorating with the red hots. We noticed some frosting on Jacob's face and he then showed us how he had taken bites out of several of the cookies. As he was showing us his bites he picked up a snowman and took a bite - then set it down. It was funny. In the picture of Jared with the boys Adam had just grabbed a cookie and threw it on the floor - Kate got it.

Man, what a big help Jacob is! Hes such an awesome little man. And you can tell that Adam wanted to do everything Jacob was doing hes going to be a big help too. But hes content and happy nomatter what hes doing. I love them!
I LOVE the floured shirt...the result of Jacob lying on the counter and a hand wiping cloth. That's really getting into the project. It's the ONLY way to learn. I can see a how to make cookie story with all those cookie making pictures. Kimmy and Jacob's first Christmas book. I would imagine that there was plenty of laughing going on during the whole process. I had a good laugh this morning. Go Jacob!
I would have loved to be there in person to watch Jacob helping with the cookies. At first when I looked at him I thought he was a snowman (ha ha). What an enjoyable experience for the little sweetie. The cookies look yummy. Love ya! Mom

since your mom is going to make me come up there for cookies to get jared's share because he's now a soap dispenser he wont need your moms cookies...think I could convince you to send a few to me for quality control? Jared wont be eating any of yours either (that soap dispenser thing again) and it looks like there will be more then enough for Jacob.
Ditto to all the comments: Jacob is a big help; this is a great way to learn; he does look like a snowman; too bad that soap dispensers can't eat cookies -- a special note to add to Eric's comments: think about sending some of the soap dispenser's uneaten cookies to Georgia . . .
I love the picture of Jacob helping and getting all dirty with the flour. Great pictures! Looks like Jacob sure had fun helping and eating them too!
