Decided to give my eyes a rest and wear my glasses this morning. Adam woke up first around 6am and then 9am. I held him and he stared at my glasses with smiles. Jacob was staring at my glasses so I asked him if he liked my glasses. He looked at me, smiled and said, "it pretty Mama". I have a hard time remembering to take my contacts out at night so it was a good thing to take them out for awhile. Jacob emptied out some of his toys from his toybox and was pretending it was a boat. Then he came over to me and said, "Me name Daddy, Mama name Jacob, I go work". Then he pretended his toybox was his car. I gave him a snack and he said, "I eat in car". He looked at Adam and pointed at Kate saying, "look Mama, Adam be Kate, me go in car". I said, "Ok" to which he said, "look Mama - - yes Daddy", telling me what he wanted me to say. I love to play Christmas music and Adam likes to bounce to the music. Adam took a nap and Jacob layed down (never did fall asleep). Vikki and Kenzie came over and Jacob was too excited to fall asleep. We made 2 1/2 batches of Christmas cookies for Vikki to take home with her. We has lots of fun.

Jacob gives me surprises every day. Switching people is just another example of thinking, thinking, thinking. What fun...you don't know who you will be when you wake up every morning. Include Nana and Grandma R in the pretend. See what happens. Love your blogs. It's an early morning routine for me as you well know.

Wow, more cookies! How many batches of cookies is that this year? Jacob is going to be a pro at decorating Christmas cookies after all that. And we haven't even made one batch yet. I guess we are going to have to wait till after Christmas now. We are leaving for Bruce's parents in a couple of days. I still have shopping and alot of wrapping to do besides packing. I will be happy when we are all done and can just enjoy some time with family.
