Lots of snow outside this morning - I think we got about 5". Around 11:30 we headed over to Mom's house. I got out the sewing machine that my Grandma had given to me - it works great and still has the manual. Had some lunch and then left to go pick up Kenzie (her school was canceled today) from her house. Then we went to pick out a sewing machine. We found a singer sewing machine that would fit my table. Mom and I put the sewing machine in the back of my car. Then I lifted my hand up to close the back door and mom told me not to hit her head. Just a couple seconds later I pulled it down and banged her on the head - sorry Mom. Took Adam to get his flu shot booster which took longer than expected. Then we stopped at Walmart and bought some fabric. Back at Mom's Kenzie ran in the house to pack her bags to spend the night. I had to do some re-arranging of things so I set the stroller, Grandma's sewing machine, and the diaper bags in the snow right behind the car. I took Kenzie's bag and violin in and went to grab a coffee. I shut the back door so the kids would'nt get cold and was going to come back out and organize the stuff. I had alot of things going back home with me - including three sewing machines, the double stroller, and the umbrella stroller. As I slowly backed out of the driveway I heard a noise like crunchy snow. I thought about pushing on the gas to get through the snow and then I remembered the stuff I had set behind the car. No damage done so I quickly loaded things and we were on our way home. Kenzie and I talked the whole way home and laughed that we had bored the boys to sleep. Jared was plowing the driveway when we got home. The sewing machine fits great in my table. Kenzie and I had fun sewing this evening - we used Grandma's old sewing machine. Kenzie made a pillow and put together a little patch quilt. She worked so hard on it and got done just before bedtime. The boys were very tired and in bed by 8pm.

Thank heavens nothing was damaged. The sewing machine looks wonderful. What is it that Kenzie made? A blanket? A saddle bag for Truman? A pocket? It is hard to tell just exactly what it is from the pictures.
