Daddy's Day 2007

This morning Jacob wrote on Daddy's card and then took that and his gift down the hallway saying, "Here Daddy, here Daddy". During church today kids 2 and up stayed out in the service and service was led by the kids pastor. During the service Jacob turned around to make faces at our associate pastor, who in made faces back to Jacob. Jacob thought that was fun and was laughing. For about the last 10 min I took him back in the nursury for 2 and under. After church we went to my parents house for a cookout. My sister, their families, my Grandpa, and my Mom's two sisters were all there. Lately Jacob goes up to just about everyone and says, "Two three two" quickly. Not sure why but its his favorite thing to say. Jacob and Adam both got to go swimming with Daddy. At first Jacob didn't want to go in, but quickly he was having lots of fun. He spent alot of time playing in the sandbox with his cousins. Jacob didn't get a nap all day and he did fine until the trip home. He was crying for me to hold him. He doesn't like his nose running or the tears running down his face so he would say "Uh Oh" and point to his nose or eyes wanted me to wipe them. On the trip home we stopped at a campground we are soon going to be spending a weekend at. We wanted to drive around and look at the sites. I got Adam out and nursed him while were were driving around camp. After I was done nursing him Jacob looked at me and said, "Adam, Daddy". He wanted to come up on my lap. I put Adam back in his seat and brought Jacob up with me. He was so happy. The windows were rolled down and he had him arm sticking out. He said "Hi" to a couple of people. I love the smell of the campfires - I am getting so excited to go camping.

What a fun day you all had! I think the last picture of Jared and his two living Father's Day gifts is the best of the lot! Congratulations, Jared on being a father twice over.

And, Kimmy, I hope you have a wonderful time camping with plenty of campfires around you!
