After Jared left for work this morning, I started packing the car for the parade today. This is a parade that I haven't missed since I was a baby. Jacob and Adam were both awake last night from ~4:00 til 5:30am so Jacob slept in a little this morning. This gave me a little extra time for packing. I got Adam ready and then had to wake Jacob at 8:15 to get him ready. I took the kids to my Mom's house where I finished making deviled eggs. My Dad rode his motorcycle there, so me and the kids rode with Mom. We got there about an hour and a half before the parade started. Lots of family from my Dads side come to this parade and the was a party at my Aunts house afterwards. Adam slept through the whole parade. Jacob was excited to sit in his green fold out chair and he didn't wander to far from it through most of the parade. Jacob loved all the loud noises of the firetrucks and bands. He clapped his hands and waved at the people. He would point out all the trucks and tractors. Vikki took Jacob up to the marines and they gave him a flag - he had fun swinging that around. All the kids had so much fun and my sister and I took lots of pictures. I took the video camera so Jared could see what he missed. He was able to meet us at my Aunts house after he left work. He got in the pool almost right away. Jacob didn't want to go near the pool - he preferred to play in the grass. On the car drive home Jacob covered his head with his blanket to block the sun from his eyes. After only a short time I looked back to see his head fallen over so I pulled the blanket off his head. He was fast asleep with beeds of sweat on his nose. He woke up when we got home but wanted me to rock him.
