Last night was a better night sleep for me. Went to bed with a bad headache but, after I fell asleep, I woke up feeling much better. Jared was up a lot during the night with his ears bothering him. Jacob woke up crying during the night. When I went to his room he told me he had hurt his foot. He kissed him and tucked him back in bed. A couple hours later he woke up to use the potty. He said, “Tanks Mommy” when I helped him up to the toilet. This morning Jacob came and lay in bed with me around 7:30. He took a pillow and put it under Truman’s head. Then I had my knees up under the blanket and he walked to the end of them and said, “I go down lide”. I pulled his hands and he slide down my legs several times. Then we played that my hand was a claw and I tickled him. He then took my hand and tucked it under his blanket. Both boys sat on my lap for a long time while we watched Clifford. While I was cleaning the toilet this morning Jacob was watching and jumping behind me saying, “good job Mommy, good job” as he clapped his hands. While I was vacuuming the house Jacob came up to me and said, “I wanna help Mommy”. He likes to follow behind me holding the cord. Both boys love playing on the activity box and moving the pieces around on top of it. Jacob likes to pile his cars on it and Adam liked putting the coins from his bank up there. Then Jacob pretended the big coins were plates and he brought me some ice cream and then a cup of hot choc. I took the boys to the bedroom where we sang to Raffi and I folded laundry. Jared came home from work around 4:30. We left right away to go to the bank. Stopped at Tim Horton’s on our way to the dollar store. I took Jacob in with me but, before he got out of his car seat he told Daddy, “I’ll be right back Daddy”. I took him in with me to pick out something to get Daddy for his birthday. I took him down the tool isle and told him he could pick out one thing to get Daddy for his birthday. He was so excited. First he picked up a camera, then he set that down and picked up a walking radio, then a calk gun. Then he made his final decision for a yellow tape measure. I took him to pick out wrapping paper and right away he picked out Sesame Street paper. He paid the guy and then talked about wrapping it as we walked back to the car. We went to the mall to walk around and let the boys play. Jacob saw a couple battery powered vehicles that he wanted and said, “I get dat me present” after we had looked and were about to walk on. After the mall we headed over to meijer for a few things. We took some pop bottles back and saw my cousin Shani and Steve. We talked to them for a while and then finished with our shopping. This evening Adam sat in the rocker with Daddy while Jacob and I wrapped presents. Jacob wrapped his present with a little help from me to find the spot that hold the pieces together. He kept taping the paper and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't stay together. After we were done he said, “I wake up, I give dat Daddy”. Next he made Daddy a Birthday and Valentines Day card. After he was done he looked at his hands and realized he had gotten marker on them. He shook them and said, “get dis off me hands”.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JARED!!!
A few times today, Max said "I wanna go tee Uncle Jared."
Well, I think 36 years ago I was heading to the hospital on a foggy morning thinking that this kid was going to be born in the car. Of course daddy just poked along taking all safety precautions with me hanging on to the door having other thoughts. Happy Birthday JB. You've been one great guy who has brought so many great experiences to the family. Love you a bunch.
Happy Birthday OLD MAN
Mom, 36 years ago if you were driving to the hospital it certainly wasn't because of me - I'm only 35. 2008-1973=35. Mom, do we have a third brother you're not telling us about? I'm really starting to wonder what you were doing 36 years ago.
THIRTY-SIX YEARS OLD!!!
No, that can't be right!! I though you were one of my YOUNGER nephews.
Happy birthday, Jared.
Oh, OK. I hadn't read your comment.
I guess maybe you are one of my younger nephews.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JARED...Hope your day is going great. We love you mucho!!! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY KIMMY AND JARED, JACOB AND ADAM!!! Much love to all of you.
Yes...JB...you are 35 years old but you started with 0 so it was 36 years ago. I think I right. Will someone agree with me. I really had a burst of energy today. Cleaned, scrubbed floors etc. But...thank goodness NO baby.
Mom R, if its 36 years to you its 36 years to me. I will be the one to agree with you. Jared just cant accept the fact that hes getting up there in age. (I didnt say you were old Jared, Just getting up there)
Well I love you guys and wanted to say I am 1hr and 59 minutes late but Happy Valentines to you all. Tell the Kids I love them. And Kimmy I was so excited to see pics of Jacobs present to daddy so be sure and put some on here b4 I go crazy. I luv u!
Gee...I can't figure it out but I know I'm right as I usually am! That's a story the Russell family hears from time to time. He was 0 years old when he came...then there was age 1 a year later etc. In Japan the kids are one the minute they are born. Is there anyone out there that gets this?
