Jacob came down into our bed at 7:30. Jared stayed home from work today due to all the snow. His work was delayed 3hrs anyway. During breakfast this morning Jacob took a drink of his milk and said to me, “uh oh, I gotta tell Mommy, dis milk makes me strong” as he showed me his muscles. Jared went outside to get the tractor ready to plow the driveway. Our big tractor is not working and the plow for the lawn tractor needs a few parts so we are going to shovel the driveway. Adam is sick with a cold and has a fever of 102.5. He was a little fussy so I stayed inside with him and got Jacob dressed to go outside with Daddy. Adam and I watched them from the window. Jacob loved when Daddy threw several shovels full of snow at the window we were looking through. Then we watched as Daddy shoveled a path through the snow over to the slide. Jacob and Daddy went down the slide, which was covered in snow. Jacob came in a couple times to go potty but, with a change of mittens, wanted to go back outside. He played out there until it was time to come in for lunch. I looked out the window and Jared was shoveling with his coat off and just a t-shirt on – burr. It was mid-thirty’s and sunny. I was going to help Jared shovel the driveway while the boys were napping but he did it by himself and was done by around 1pm. We have a long driveway and it was a lot of work. Before laying Adam down for his nap I checked his temp and, after a dose of Tylenol, it was down to 99.5. While the boys were taking their naps Jared and I went outside to build a quinsy(like an igloo) in the snow. First we piled of snow. Then I got sticks to put in places around it as a guide so as not to dig to far. Jared dug it all out and I shoveled away the snow he dug. It was lots of fun! It took us a couple hours to build and we were done before the boys woke up. Once we got in I realized I had left my camera and the monitor on the deck. I was going to go get it when Jared went out the side door in his bare feet to get it before I had my shoes on. Jared and I changed into some dry clothes and then had some ice cream. Adam woke up around 5pm and I rocked him. He felt really warm. I took him temp and it was 103.7. I gave him another dose of Tylenol and read to him in the chair. Jacob woke up and cuddled with Daddy on the couch. I got some toys for Adam to play with on my lap. He loves his drum. He’d pound on the drum and then lean over to give me a hug and a smile. Jacob and Daddy were hiding under the blanket on the couch so we went over to pull it off and find them. Jacob wanted Adam to come under the blanket with them. Adam was fussy this evening but enjoyed to be rocked. After a dose of Tylenol his fever is 102.7 and he is laying peacefully in his crib.

I'm loving the snow pictures in this tropical country with 77 degree temps every day. I must admit that Jared had a great aunt Sarah who ran around in the snow quite often with no shoes. His mother even did it from time to time if the need arised. The kids are so cute. Hope to see you soon. Mom/Lela
