Jacob was really excited to have Daddy open his present this morning. For Jared's birthday gift we got him a pair of vasque sundowner hiking boots. He had bought the same pair of boots back when Truman was a puppy but Truman chewed them up. I was really excited to suprise Jared with another pair. We then had him open his valentines gift which was a bar clamp. Then boys opened their valentines bags. Daddy had picked them each out a new hot wheels car for in their bag and they also got some goodies. Daddy and the boys got me a red hooded sweatshirt and a book called Simple Sewing with patterns and 24 easy projects for me to try with my sewing machine. We then went out for donuts, walked around Salvation army and the mall. Took the boys to play and they had lots of fun - we had fun watching them play. Jacob has so much fun running with the other kids and smiles so big as he watches them. Adam crawls around from one thing to another, pulling himself up on each thing. He crawled into the tv and took a face dive out the other side. This afternoon while the boys were taking their naps Jared read a book and I worked on a project from the sewing book. I made a draft snake and it was alot of fun to make. I thought both boys were asleep and when I went to check on Jacob in his bed I found that he was gone. He was quietly playing with Truman on our bed with his blanket over a box and the pillows stacked up. Patty brought her dog (a black lab) over. We are watching her for a week. Had a nice visit with her and her son. Jacob really wanted her son to play but at first he was playing shy. Soon he warmed up and the played with the cars and racetrack. This evening we went out to dinner at Fazolies. When we got home Jacob helped me make Daddy's birthday cake. After the boys were in bed Jared and I watched a movie.

So many great pictures. Love every one. Thank you Kimmy for the peak into Feb. 14th. I remember the shoe story well. Those new shoe were a great idea for JB's 35th birthday in his36th year. Adam has changed so much since Christmas. I'm looking forward big time to spring.
Kimmy you dont have enough candles on the cake...you need to have 35 of them on there..just make sure you have the fire extinsure next to you
Good pictures, great gifts all around, and a good time. I think Jacob sneaking out of his nap is the highlight, though. (Although I was surprised that Jared was READING a book. I thought he had stopped doing that when he graduated from college.)
at least Jacob didn't go into the kitchen and dump 5 lb of sugar and 5 lb of flour all over the kitchen floor...I wonder who did that to his mother at 6 am on a sat morning
Flour and Sugar...JUST ASK ME! And...Jacob's parents weren't sleeping while the flour and sugar story developed 37 years ago. HUMMM...35 and 37...Now which kid could that have been.
This whole tale is getting pretty interesting. You have my attention about the sugar and flour episode. All I can say about it is poor Lela...What a mess to clean up.
Great pictures of the family fun on Feb. 14th. I enjoyed seeing them all. Love to all.
