Jacob woke up a few times during the night to use the potty. At around 3am he woke up and lay in his mattress saying "tet timer" because he wanted to get up. He fell back to sleep around 5:30. Jared woke up around 5am and said he thought he was getting what the boys had. He was so sick and I tried to talk him into staying home. After puking he said he felt a little better and he went to work. Adam woke up to nurse around 5:15. Before I layed him in his crib he puked all over the floor in his bedroom. I got the floor cleaner out and clean up the mess and then Adam fell right to sleep. Both boys slept until around 8am. Adam had a very messy diaper when he woke up. Jacob had bad diarrhea on the potty and looked up at me and said, "wow, what dat Mommy". Mom called and said Grandpa, Kenzie, and Hailey all have the same sickness. Adam played in his highchair and drank some pedialyte. Jacob and I sat at the table and looked through magazine for pictures to cut out and paste on construction paper. I gave Jacob a pair of scissors but he wanted me to cut for him. I could tell he was very tired already this morning. He'd point to some things for me to cut out and then he'd paste them on his paper. I did my own paper and he told me mine looked cute. He cut the corners of his paper and was excited to show me he had cute a triangle. Jared came home around 11am. He was very sick and I made him a bed on the couch. Jacob wanted to show him his paper he had made. I took the boys into Adam's bedroom to play hoping Jared could get some sleep. I got out the racetrack and Jacob said, "I toe excited". Then we went to our bedroom to play some Curious George and Clifford games on the internet. Adam lay down for his nap around 1:30 and Jacob around 2pm. Both of them fell asleep so quickly - they were very tired. I left to go to meijer and get some chicken noodle soup. Vikki called and she had taken Kenzie to the doctor. Her doctor recommended things like gateraide, jello, applesauce, and banana's. Jared was drinking water but couldn't keep it down and sprite didn't sound good to him. I decided to go back to meijer and get him the things the doctor recommended for Kenzie. I talked to Kenzie and she told me to tell Uncle Jared not to drink too fast and ice chip really help her. She also recommended a wet cloth for his head. When I got back from the store I made the jello and got it cooling in the fridge and unloaded/loaded the dishwasher. The orange gateraide settled good with Jared. I went outside to feed the animals and get some buckets of corn for the corn burner. When I got back inside Adam had just woke up. He had slept for 4 hours. Adam likes to play "where's Mommy". He pulls the blanket off my head and smiles when I say "her I am". Then he tries to put the blanket back over my head. It was 7pm and Jacob was still asleep. I woke him up and rocked him so he would be able to get to sleep at bedtime. He was happy to get a package in the mail for Aunt Bippi, Uncle RoRo, and Kenzie. It was a Lightning McQueen placemat. He wanted to take it and show Daddy right away. He put it back up on the counter and played with his cars on it. I got out the dominos for us to play with and Jacob like knocking them down after we lined them up. We built roads with them to drive his cars through. Even after their long naps the boys were still tired at bedtime. They sat on my lap during the first half of American Idol and then Jacob went over to lay with Daddy. I got them in bed and then came out to watch Lost with Jared. The boys did better today - less puking for Adam (none for Jacob) - both of them still have diarrhea and less of an appetite but their drinking good.

Yup Jared's sick there is yellow bear!
Wow...Three sick people...Kimmy, wash your hands a lot. The first thing I noticed was yellow bear of course. Knew right away what was going on. I'm wondering if JB will get a flu shot next year. I would hope so if his memory serves him right. But...you all probably have the flu that the shot didn't cover. We'll remember 2008 for sure. It sounds like CARS still rule. Kimmy...wash your hands a lot.
Yes, Kimmy, wash your hands lots and lots and lots!
I think Lela needs some help choosing new names -- Triple M Ruissell is too much like her usual sign-in name.
I think triple M Ruissell is hilarious. Great name choice Lela.
I am really laughing hard right now. Your family keeps me in stitches!!!!
Doesn't Jacob have a stuffed animal like Yellow Bear? I think that is such a cute tradition to carry on. Poor Boys! They all look sick except for Adam. Somehow he looks as healthy as can be. Love to all. xoxoxox
Yes Jacob has Berry its his bear he got from Build-a-bear here in Indy. I think its beside Jacob in one of the pictures.
Yellow bear is such a none imaginative name but it works just fine. YB is not very yellow after 30 some years of use. The first time it was puked on was on a trip to Texas to see Rick. JB ate way to much candy on the way and it just came up the old fashioned way. I washed YB up and had it beside JB when he woke up from his nap. What a memory of a smile when he saw CLEAN yellow bear. Yellow Bear often went to the dentist where I think JB spit up on it on a regular basis. Didn't like the Doctor's toothpaste. Name? Hum. I didn't even know that I signed that. I think the computer did it. My sister and her daughter Beth made Yellow Bear for JB. I knew Jacob and JB looked sick before I read about them. It's those eyes filled with water that give it away every time. JB also says that if he jumps up and down his head hurts and that a great sign of an elevated temp. Old family secrets. Wash your hands Kimmy.
