Saturday morning we set the alarm for 2am. Kenzie got dressed and got in the car. I got Jacob dressed and put him in his carseat. After only an hour of sleep I was pretty tired. We stopped at Tim hortons for a cappicino and Jared got a mocha. With caffene in hand we were ready to get on the highway. We are taking Kenzie and Jacob to the Indianapolis zoo. Jacob stayed awake for about an hour and then went to sleep. He woke back up around 6:30am and Kenzie woke up too. We had pop tarts for breakfast. Jacob fell asleep only a few minutes before we got to Jareds parents house. We let him sleep in the car while we got things ready. Kenzie was very excited. Grandma and Grandpa R, Uncle Eric, and Uncle Dee are coming to the zoo also. We walked over to see the dolphuns. You could walk right under the tank to the dolphuns. It was really cool. We watched the dolphun show and it was really, really neat. It was Jared, Kenzie, and Jacob's first dolphun show. Jacob was clapping to the music.
Uncle Dee carried Jacob for awhile. Jacob liked that cause Uncle Dee showed him all sorts of cool things. Jacob looked so tired I thought he was going to fall asleep in his arms. He lay his head on his shoulder but managed to stay awake. We had some lunch and then went on the train ride. Jacob sat with Daddy and Kenzie and I sat ahead of them. Once the train started moving Jacob loved it. He was very sleepy. After getting of the train and in his stroller he soon fell asleep. We tried to make it to see another dolphun show but got there just as it was ending. We went to watch the backyard animals show. It was fun - they had a pig, ulama, armidillo, bearded dragon, 2 snakes, barn owl, another bird (? kind), and a goat. The show was fun to watch - the actress was funny. Afterwards they let the kids touch some of the animals. Jacob was still asleep. We walked around to look at some more animals and then under the dolphun tank again. We went through the gift shop and got Kenzie a few things. We left after 5pm. When we got back we had some dinner and then Jacob went to bed around 8pm - he had a long day and was very tired. When I took him up to brush his teeth I said, "You want your bubble gum toothpast", He kept saying over and over, "gubble gum". Jared, Kenzie, Grandma R, and I played tonk (card game I loved to play with my grandparents). Kenzie and I showed Jared and Grandma R how to play. Kenzie won both games.

Sunday, September 3rd

Kenzie came downstairs and told us Jacob was awake. We had some breakfast and Jacob played with his cars and trucks. After church we went back for lunch. Afterwards Jacob took a long nap. He slept for a few hours. When he woke up we got ready to take Kenzie to Build-a-Bear. She looked at all the skins and choose the husky dog. She picked out a shirt, some toys for the dog, sunglasses (like her mommy's), and bows for her doggies ears. Kenzie named her dog Ginger and got her certificate. In the car she looked at me and said, "Aunt Kimmy, thank-you for taking me to build-a-bear". She is such a polite little girl. When we got back to Grandma's she had lots of fun changing the toys her dog holds and the bows in her hair. She looked at Jared and said, "Thank you for the doggie, I already told Aunt Kimmy thank-you". I could tell she was really excited. We had dinner and Jacob wanted to play with his little trucks and cars again. He played for a little bit and then he wanted to color. He walked over to his highchair and I put him in with some crayons and a coloring paper. Kenzie and Uncle Jared played store with her dog and all its stuff. They used real money and had lots of fun. I took Kenzie and Jacob ustairs to brush their teeth. Kenzie wanted to use Jacob's bubble gum toothpaste. Then we went downstairs to play a game of tonk. Kenzie won by alot. I even tried switching places with her to see if that seat was luckier than mine. She still won. We dressed her doggie in Jacob's pjs and tucked her into bed. Truman hopped in bed with her. She said, "Tell Uncle Jared to come up here".

Monday, September 4th

This morning we all slept in till 8am. Jacob was happy to see me and stomped his feet excitedly with his hands up. We are going to try and be on the road by 10 am. Grandma R made Kenzie some eggs and toast with the eggs sunny side up. We got on the road about 10 minutes before 10am. At 12:30 we stopped at McDonalds for lunch. Jacob ate his whole cheeseburger in his happy meal. Kenzie said, "You will have to write that in his baby book - that he ate a whole cheeseburger at 15 months old". We were going to get ice cream cones but their machine was broken. I had both Kenzie and Jacob laughing hard in the cars as I turned around and tickeled them both. After about an hour we stopped at another McDonalds for ice cream cones. Kenzie and I played a dot game cause she was getting bored. We finished the game just as we got to Nana's house. Kenzie wanted to undress her dog and then put it all on in front of Nana. We stopped on our way home at Jareds work to pickup his rental car. He leaves for work in Indiana tomorrow. We are sure going to miss him at home. We also stopped to pick up our new cat from the neighbors. Her name is Jaden (they call her Rod). She is a grey calico and wears a collar with a bell. When we got home and let her out she walked over to the edge by the woods. I was worried she would try to find her way home so I caught her and took her to the barn. She purred until we walked by the chickens. She wasn't sure what them weird-looking, two legged animals were. We put her in a stall with food and water. We also left the crate in there so she could go in if she wanted. We went inside for a little bit. I decided to take her out some treats and saw her walking in the yard. I gave her some treats and set her up a spot on our back porch. She liked the porch but does not care for our dogs. We boarded up the stall and put her in it for the night. I will let her out for a while when I get home from work tomorrow. We'd like her to get more used to the place before letting her out for good. She is a very nice cat and we really like her. I read Jacob his stories and then told him to go tell Daddy night night. He ran down the hall to our room where Daddy was waiting for him. He gave Daddy a hug and kiss goodnight. Then he brushed his teeth. When he came out he gave Daddy another hugg and kiss cause he will not see him for a few days. The he was spinning in the hallway making himself dizzy. It was funny.
