I held Jacob in the rocker this morning as he woke up. It took him awhile this morning. He didn't want to open his eyes. Jacob had a doctors appointment today at 1pm. I picked him up and got there about 20 minutes early. Jacob walked up and down the hall stopping to look at the fountain in the middle. He was very good for his appointment. He didn't want to go see the Dr, instead he clung to Mommy. He did give the Dr lots of smiles. He weighed 24lbs 4.7oz and is 33 3/4" long. After the doctor gave him his exam the asst. came in to give him his vaccinations. She had me hold him tight with him sitting sideways on my leg with his legs held between mine. Gosh, I hold animals all day for shots and have no problem. But when you hold your baby as he cries in pain it sure tuggs at Mommy's heart. He was ok as soon as it was over and even smiled at the lady. He did wimpered as I got him dressed. I called my Mom to pick him up and headed back to work. He sat on the floor at work with his two Dr. Seuss books. We stopped at Salvation army after work. Jacob seemed really sore on his leg where he was poked. He got really fussy in the store and felt warm so I left. I had to stop at meijer for diapers, dog food, and infant tylenol. When we got home he wouldn't walk on his leg at all. He did not want to let go of me so I sat with him on the dog bed. He limped around the room some but mostly he stayed right there for the rest of the night til it was time to brush his teeth. We watched Barney and he clapped along to the music. Daddy called and Jacob held his ear tight to the phone. Later Jacob slowly walked down the hall to the bathroom saying, "teeth", "guggle gum". I changed his diaper and he walked the dirty diaper down the hall and threw it away in the trash. I read him a couple books and the lay him in bed. He fell asleep really fast.
