Jacob woke up at 7:45 and Adam woke up at 8:30. Jacob went into Adam's bedroom to playe peek-a-boo with him and then wanted me to lift him into his crib. After we had breakfast, brushed teeth, and got dressed it was around 10am. We watched Sesame street. It was a beautiful day outside, warm (~65 degrees) but windy. We went outside and took a walk up to the sand hill. Jacob pulled his little wagon and some shovels. It was windy but we sat with our backs to the wind and played in the sand. Jacob liked filling up his wagon and pretending it was horse poop. He'd fill it up and then take it to dump. When I dumped it he said, "not like dat, like dis". As he showed me he said, "gotta use the pork (a kids rake) like Daddy do". Daddy always used a pitch fork when he's dumping the manure. Adam also enjoyed the sand, picking up handfulls and playing with the shovel. I dug up some sand and he really liked to take handfuls out of my hand. I took the boys for a walk down our road while pulling them in the wagon. They both seemed to enjoy this. Adam really talked alot on the way back home. By the time we got back it was time for lunch. Daddy always calls to talk to me during lunch. Today Jacob asked to talk and got to talk longer that I did. Adam had a major messy diaper that I noticed when Jacob pointed and said, Uh oh, Adam pooped". Jacob asked to play with his barn on our bed and we listened to some music. Jacob got down and gave Adam one of his toys to play with. Then he came to me and said, "I tared (shared) dat toy with Adam, ewe wanna tee me do dat". He took the toy andn then kindly handed it back to Adam with a smile saying in a soft voice, "ewe like dat toy Adam, dat pun (fun)?". We went into Jacob's bedroom and I read some books to him while Adam pulled books off the book shelf. Adam lay down for his nap ~ 2:30 and Jacob rested. Jacob ended up falling asleep on the couch. While the boys were napping I went outside to clean the Saturn. It was very messy. I worked on it for 2 hours and was just about finished when Jared got home from work. Jared was really impressed with how clean I was able to get it. He put the door latch back on the chicken coop. I took care of the animals and noticed another broiler chick had died. Adam woke up and shortly after that Jacob woke up. We had dinner and then went into town for some coffee at Tim Hortons. We then went to Home Depot. The boys had fun in the car carts. Then Jacob got down to walk. We always enjoy walking around in that store. Got some more paint and looked at horse and chicken fencing. Had some ice cream this evening.

We woke up atourn 8:30 this morning so we only had a short time to get ready to make it to the early service at church. It was a nice, warm spring day. Stopped at meijer on the way home and got pizza for lunch. Adam enjoyed pizza for lunch also. He got some on his nose and Jacob looked at him and said, "Adam and me got small noses, Mommy and Daddy got big noses". We opened up the windows in the house to let the fresh air in. After lunch we went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Jacob had fun riding with Daddy on the tractor. They dumped the cart full of horse manure and when they were done Jacob said, "now we gotta go get more poop". Adam loves to sit on the tractor and play with the wheel. While he was napping I got the white trim touch ups done. Jared built some saw horses and Jacob had fun helping him. Then I cleaned alot of messy stalls. We moved the goat and sheep to a clean stall and I cleaned their stall also. When the cart would get full Jacob and Daddy would drive the tractor up the hill in the pasture and dump it. Jacob would get off the tractor and run out into the sand wanting Daddy to pick him up on the way back. Jared cleaned his workshop and Jacob played in a large pile of sawdust. He sure had alot of fun getting dirty and hanging out with Daddy. When I asked him what he was doing he said, "Um, I'm just getting dirty". I did the touch up paint for the red on the coop. As I was on the last side Adam woke up. He had taken a long nap. Daddy and Jacob went inside while I finished up. After dinner we got out the bikes and went for a bike ride. The boys loved it. We had lots of fun. When we got inside Jacob asked to lay by Daddy on the couch. Then he wanted him to play with his barn and his money. Adam loves to push buttons. He pushes the buttons on the tv, dvd player, vcr and x-box. When he pushes the button to the x-box it opens up right at his head level. He either ducks down or comes to me. When I tucked Jacob in bed tonight he told me all about his fun day outside.

We got up around 8:30. During breakfast this morning Jacob was looking at his tractor book and singing, "tractor get all dirty in dirt, tractor get all dirty in dirt, tractor get all dirty in dirt". He looked at Kenzie and I and wanted us to sing it with him. We went out for our Saturday am donut run. Then we stopped at Goodwill and the pet store. Jacob and Kenzie got to hold some bunnies. Jacob loved watching their noses. When we got home Jacob asked to play with his rice. I gave him some bowls and the measuring spoon set. He said he was going to make me some mac-n-cheese. He measured it until the bowl was full and patted it down. Then he gave it to me saying to be careful because it was hot. Adam had fun playing while he danced to some music. Kenzie went with Uncle Jared to town to get some wood. I fed the boys some lunch and then we went outside. Jared and Kenzie were already outside working on the trim. Jacob asked to paint his truck so I got him some water and a brush. We set up Adam's playpen so he could safely play by us while we worked. He was very content playing with his toys and throwing thing out of the playpen. Vikki came over to play with the boys while we painted. She brought Jacob a bug net and container and a package with some masking and red tape it it. He loves to play with tape lately. She brough Adam some bath toys that he liked chewing on. Kenzie helped him find a bug to put in his container. Kenzie and I worked on painting the trim while Jared worked on finishing the trim. Uncle Jared let Kenzie use his brad nailer. I took Adam inside for his nap. Kenzie put on Uncle Jared's water boots and went out into the water in our backyard. Izzy (their dog) went for a swim. Vikki helped Jacob find rocks to throw in the water. Once the trim was hung and we had painted a second coat of white, it was time for the red paint. Kenzie and Jacob did a good job helping us paint. Soon Adam woke up and Vikki kept him well entertained. He loved sitting in the grass. By the time we were done it was past dinner time. We decided to get cleaned up and go to Fazoli's for dinner. Kenzie and I went inside to give Izzy a bath. Adam got stuck in the toybox because the lid fell on him (last picture). She seemed to enjoy rolling in horse poop and was very dirty. Dinner was good and we had a nice visit. Thank -you Vikki and Kenzie for all your help today - I love you both lots! The boys were very tired and fell asleep on the drive home. Jared and I took care of the animals after we got home.

Adam walking

I woke up this morning with an awful pain in my neck. I must have slept on it wrong. Jacob woke up and came in our bed around 7:15. He asked where Kenzie was right away. She had stayed at Nana's house last night because today they are going to see a movie. Jared is picked her back up after work. Adam woke up at 8am. After breakfast Jacob helped me fill a large sock with some rice. I heated it in the microwave and then put it on my neck. The heat felt good. Adam is walking around like he's been doing it a long time. He can walk across the room, turn and walk back. During lunch Jacob talked about the picnic we had yesterday. After lunch Jacob played with his cars and a long piece of tape. He liked to put one end of the tape on the car and then a block on the other end of the tape. Adam was fascinated with his bedroom door. He kept opening and closing it over and over. He especially liked when Jacob and I played peek-a-boo with him. Jacob brought out the rocking sheep to ride. He got off and said, "now Adam's turn". Adam loved rocking but sure didn't like when he had to get off for Jacob's turn. We played doctor. Jacob was the doctor and I was the patient. Jacob always wants me to pretend to puke and he runs to find me something to puke in. Then he rubs my head and says, "ewe ok Mommy?". I lay on the floor and Adam just crawled all over me giving me lots of hugs and chewed on the toy tweezers. Jacob watched his tractor movie while Adam was napping. Then we went outside. It took out his tractor and wagon. He played in his sand with his shovel putting scoops of sand into the wagon. He fell in the driveway and hurt his cheek. He looked at me and said, "Mommy, I hurt me". Then he told me what happened and as I gave him a hug he said, "I ok Mommy". Kenzie came home with Uncle Jared and was really excited to saddle up the horses. Her and Uncle Jared had been planning on going for a ride together. I saddled up Sammy while Jared was saddling up Nutmeg. We couldn't find her bridle anywhere. Then we remembered that quite a while ago Kenzie had took it to school for show and tell. It was still at Nana's house. Kenzie rode on Sammy in the yard and then Jared rode double with her. First he sat on back but soon traded with Kenzie making her sit on his boney butt. We had some good laughs. Jacob went for a ride with Daddy but soon was asking to get down so he could go play. We put Adam up for his first ride and he really liked it. First he sat with Daddy and then by himself. When I took him off he reached his hand to the saddle begging to go back up. Kenzie rode until it was time to come in for dinner. Around 7pm we headed into town to meet my parents at the mall. We walked around the mall. Stopped so Jacob could show Nana and Papa the train. Then the kids sat on the quarter rides. Took the boys to play. Adam kept wanting to escape. Jacob loves to jump off of things. Nana and Papa got us blizzards and we sat to eat them. It was after 9pm when we left. Target had closed their opening to the mall so Dad drove Jared around to get our car. All three kids fell asleep on the drive home.
