Saturday morning we got up early and went out for our usual donuts. We also got some donuts to take to my Grandma's house where we are leaving Jacob with my mom while we go to a funeral. The pastor that married Jared and I, who is also a good friend of Jared's from college, passed away. It takes about 1 1/2 hrs to get there from our house so we had to leave early. We took Jacob with us to the showing yesterday just in case we had the baby and were unable to attend this service. This evening we went out for ice cream cones with my parents. Jacob got blue moon and loved the ice cream but would not bite the cone. Afterwards we went to the mall to walk around.

Sunday: This morning I woke up and turned over to look at Jared but instead saw a present with a card on his pillow. Then looked over and saw Jacob walking in the room with another card in his hand. He was saying, "color". Daddy had him color on his card before bringing it to me. I was excited to open the second season of "I Love Lucy" on DVD for a Mothers Day gift. This morning we are going to my parents and sisters church to suprise my mom. Of course when we got there Dad said she was not going to be able to make it cause she was taking care of my Grandma. Jacob had lots of fun clapping to the music with Hailey. I took him back to the nursery where he gladly ran in to play. Later Mel said she walked by his room and he was walking around the table handing out cups to the kids. I'm just amazed at how outgoing he is. He must get that from Jared because I've alway been shy. We got pizza at my parents afterwards and my Mom came home for lunch. Because my Grandma has been so weak she had been staying with her mostly 24 hrs/day. After Jacob took a nap we headed over to my Grandma's house where we are all meeting for a cookout. After eating Vikki, Rody, Bruce, Jared and I took the kids for a walk in the backyard. They had lots of fun running around in the grass. On our way home we stopped downtown to walk around and took Jacob to play at the playground. He loves going down the slide with Daddy. On the drive home Jacob said, "Mama please, a snack". He is really starting to put his words together.
