Jacob started fussing at around 6am just for a moment. Then he fell back asleep til a little after 7am. He was holding his green blankey in both hands. He's really getting attatched to that blankey. We brought in along with us in to our bedroom to join Daddy in bed. Jacob lay inbetween us holding his blankey with both hands smiling so big. He started talking about something. Kate came up to lick Jacob. Jacob and I were looking out the window in our bedroom and in the tree right out our window was a beautiful blue bird. We did our usual Saturaday morning run to town. Mom called and decided to meet us in Midland at Salvation army. She was walking down her stairway in the dark, with just a nightlight and missed a step. She went to med express and they took x-rays. There may be a chip. Her foot is bruised and swollen. She is going to us Jared's boot as they recommended. Mom said it is feeling much better today. While Jacob was down for his morning nap, Jared and I went outside to fix our fence posts. We put in five new posts. We also tightened the wire around the pastures and screwed up some down boards. Our rooster and hen were getting into the woodchips around our flowers and making a real mess. They are even digging up some flowers. So we decided to try and clip their wings and put them in with the goats and sheep. Didn't last long, they were out in no time. We will have to come up with something else because we don't like them in our flowers. When Jacob woke up we had lunch. We went back outside to put in the sprinkeling system for our garden. In the picture above Jacob was watching the rooster and his hen run around the yard. We went to Lowe's for some parts to fix our hose. Also stopped for groceries at Walmart. Jacob loved when we go him some of the sample paint cards. He held one in each hand. Boy has he been walking around everywhere today. When he falls down he tries to find the nearest thing to pull himself back up and continue walking.

I know the RockinRRanch owners will know where this is from. But the chickens can be taken care of by KFC. I know they (the chickens)have names and cannot be menu items but this course of action, while not ideal, will take care of the chicken garden problems.
