Jacob was sleeping when we got to Mom's this morning. He woke up and then begged Kenzie for a bite of her bagel. She broke him off a piece. I took Kenzie to school on my way to work. It snowed/hailed off and on today and was very windy. Several high school parades going on today. I got out of work at 3:15 and headed over to Mel's. Melissa was trying to put gloves on Jacob and he was throwing a fit cause he didn't want to wear them. We took them off and just unvelcrowed his sleeves so they'd go past his little hands. He was ok with that. We are taking the kids to the parade. The parade starts right out Mels back yard. We walked down to the corner of the road. It was Mom, Mel and I with the four kids. It started to hail pretty hard but Mom had a really big umbrella. I looked down at Jacob in his stroller and he had his tongue sticking out trying to catch the snow/hail. The bands started to play and Jacob was bouncing up and down in his seat. I got him out of the stroller and Kenzie, Hailey, and him had their little buckets and we got lots of candy. Last to go by was the firetrucks. Jacob really liked them. Hailey and Max cried when the blew their loud horns. Kenzie said her hands were ice cold. We walked back and picked up more candy on the way. My feet were soaking wet and cold but we had lots of fun! The kids ate some candy when we got back. Jacob had some smarty's and licked a sucker. Jacob fell asleep almost as soon as we got on the road. I got stuck in a traffic jam on the way home. This time it was only for about 15 min. Daddy had the fire going in our corn burner and it was nice and warm in the house. He said, "Lets go to Fazolies for dinner". That sounded great to me. Jacob loved his spagetti but when I tried to give him a bite of my sub he shook his head no. We walked around meijer afterwards. Tonight Jacob was spinning in circles to make himself dizzy and then stumbling across the room laughing. Later he had a bad accident and fell over on the stool that he uses to get up on the couch. He fell and landed his mouth on the edge of the stool. The stool is made of flat rocks that are cut and have sharp edges. His mouth was bleeding and got really puffy. I asked him to open his mouth and he let me have a quick look. He cut right above his front teeth. I had to hold back the tears myself - I felt so bad for him. Daddy chopped him up some ice to suck on. I held and rocked him. He was a brave little boy and was soon running around the house again.
