This week Jared has been getting up at 4:30am for work. This morning he and I slept in until 7am. I started my exercises while he was getting ready for work. I was running when Jacob woke up around 8:30. He ate breakfast while I continued my run. I gave Jacob a "running hug" this morning and he told me he loves my running hugs. Adam woke up at 9am. When I went into his bedroom he said, “tocks (socks) off, down floor” as he pointed to them on the floor. The he excitedly said, “Daddy here! Back dere” as he pointed towards our bedroom. Adam ate his breakfast at the little table while they watched Bob the Builder. I did a step up exercise while that was on. Jacob tucked some yarn into his pj’s and ran around the house saying, “Super Jacob on the way!” Adam ran around with his yarn saying, “Super – way!” The boys played with their barn while I folded and put away laundry. We played doctor. Dr Jacob and his assistant (Adam) took good care of me. Then I pretended to be the doctor and Jacob was the patient. Adam played with his tools. I got out the art box because Jacob was asking to cut with his scissors. He cut pieces of paper and glued them into his notepad. Adam is getting better at using the scissors but he still needs me to hold the paper while he is cutting. I gave the boys some star stickers to add to their papers. Jacob put one on his nose and said, “I’m a star queen!” Adam laughed so Jacob did it several times trying to make him laugh more. Then Adam put one on his nose with a funny expression on his face as he showed Jacob and I. After lunch we headed into town. I needed to stop at the post office, bank, and Jack's. We got home shortly after 2pm. I read books with the boys and then lay Adam down for a nap. Jacob rested while playing with his automoblox. He likes to show me his “new oga (yoga) move”. I prepared roast, carrots, and potatoes for dinner. I also did a 30-min run. Jacob said, “I really don’t mind if you beat me when we play the game, Toot and Puddle.” Jacob played at the counter with moon sand. He piled several things in the sand and explained to me that it was a recycling center that “melts plastic to make new bottles and tainers (containers).” Jared got home around 4:30. I went outside to take care of the animals. Adam woke up around 5:30. He played with the moon sand until dinner was ready. After dinner we headed into town to walk around the mall. We brought the strollers but didn't need to as the boys walked the entire time. They had fun playing on the train table at Barnes and Noble. We got home at close to 9pm.

He was singing happy birthday to me so I tried to get it on video. I love the way he says Sammy.

I finished my exercises just before Jacob woke up at 8:30. We cuddled on the couch together for a while. Adam woke up at 9am. During breakfast we watched Bob the Builder. The boys played with thei tool sets after breakfast. Adam came over to me holding a couple tools and said, “Water on, Mommy.” The boys played with their pieces of yarn. Jacob loves to tie things up with the yarn. He’s good at tying knots. He tied his yarn up to his ride on vehicles and said he made “two jumping things.” Then Jacob decided his pile of ride on vehicles would be a good fire. He asked for their fold up chairs saying he wanted to go camping. We sat around the fire and pretended to roast marshmallows. Adam went to play with Jacob’s wooden tool set but Jacob didn’t want to share with him. So Adam took me into the bedroom to get out the barn. He started to play with that and Jacob said, “Adam you want me to play with you?” Adam said, “No, Mine!” Jacob said, “Adam, you can play with my tools. Can I play with the barn too?” Adam said, “Uh huh.” They worked it out and sure played well together with both the tools and the barn. I did a little sewing on the table chair which had wripped seams in several spots. Jacob then decided to pack up some toys and played in his bedroom. He shut the door but kept coming out saying he was a “seller man solden (selling) candy.” Adam had fun playing with the Little People things. During lunch I said to the boys, “Daddy should be calling soon, yeah.” Jacob replied, “Good old Daddy.” This afternoon we went outside. Jacob asked to plant seeds in the pizza box. So we put dirt in it and he planted some bean seeds. He was very excited to water them using his water bottle. He also wanted to put a bean seed in a ziploc with a papertowl (like Daddy had meantioned to him the other day) but we were all out of ziplocs. The weather was nice. We took a walk down the road. Adam liked collecting rocks in his cup. At the end of our walk he sat in the grass by the road to look at his rocks. He noticed some dog poop, pointed at it and said, “Troom did it, gross!” The boys played on the deck and enjoyed eating Popsicles. I did a 30-minute run on the deck. The boys would join me running and it was so cute. Jacob washed his tonka truck with a wet wipe and said, “Aren’t this look clean?” Adam pointed at the propane tank on the grill and said, “Gas-o-eeen.” We came back inside around 2pm. After reading some books I tucked Adam in for a nap. Jacob rested while playing with his cars and automoblox. I worked on laundry. Adam got up around 4pm. I’m not sure he ever did go to sleep. Jacob made a large square out of several pieces of yarn. He and Adam danced in it. Then Jacob played on the computer at PBS kids. Adam and I pretended to eat at the table with the play foods and stacking toys. Jared came home around 5pm. The boys played with legos. We all went outside to take care of the animals. Jared held Clarence while I trimmed his hooves. Jacob and Adam had fun playing in the paddock. We came back inside for dinner. With a bucket on his head and a feather in his hand Jacob marched up and down the house making a tune. He asked us to sit down and watch his parade. As he passed by he threw us some candy. After Jacob was done Adam put the bucket on his head and copied Jacob. The boys played with their tools while I gave Jared a haircut. After their evening snack we all played the board game Toot and Puddle. Jacob got very upset because he did not win. They were tucked in bed by 9pm.

"Look at my V"

"Look at my 1"

Eating breakfast.

Fun at the playground.

They both wanted to wear their hats while eating their snack.

Daddy showing the boys he can smile bigger.

I finished my exercises by 8:30. The boys slept in until 9am. Adam took me right to the closet saying, "Teals (tools) Mommy?" We watched Bob the builder while eating breakfast. I packed lunches for the boys. I was looking forward to spending time shopping with my sisters this afternoon. Around 10:30 we headed into town. Before leaving Jacob said, “Mommy, I turned that light off so we can save power.” First I took the boys to the park. It was sprinkling but felt good. We played on the wooden boat. Jacob pretended he was captain saying, “I’m captain of this ship.” When it was time to leave we all had fun walking backwards to the van. We met my Vikki and Mel at Salvation army. As we walked into the store Jacob said, “Mommy, I really, really, REALLY love you.” We all had fun shopping and visiting together. After that we headed over to Tim Horton’s for coffee’s. The boys enjoyed donuts and chocolate milk. Adam spilled his milk all over himself. From there we went to Goodwill. Vikki and Mel left for home around 3:30. I took the boys into the pet store before we headed home. When we got home Jacob wanted to water the plants with his big water bottle. He asked, “Why do them flowers drink through them roots?” I lay Adam down for a late nap at 4:30. Jacob rested while playing with his automoblox. Jared came home shortly after 5pm. He and Jacob went outside. Adam never did go to sleep. We went outside for a short time before dinner. After dinner we went back outside. The boys had fun playing in the barn dirt with their shovels. Daddy and Jacob took a tractor ride to take the trash to the dumpster. Adam excitedly waved at them as they came back up the driveway. Then Adam got a turn to ride on the tractor with Daddy. They also were very excited to go up in the high hayloft of the barn. We came back inside at close to 8pm. The boys wanted to wear their winter hats while eating a snack. They played in the tub until bedtime. After they were tucked in bed Jared and I watched Lost.

Adam drawing a fish.

Jared left early again this morning. I got up at 6:30. Jacob was up around 8:30 and Adam soon after that. They watched Bob the Builder while eating breakfast. Adam went into the closet and got out the Thomas trains to play with. Jacob played with his wooden tool set. Then Adam took me to the closet and asked to play with the barn. I got it out for him and he said, "Thanks Mommy." He and Jacob played with that at the counter. Adam refuses to sit in the table chair now. He can get up and down the counter stools by himself - though I prefer to help him. We sat at the table to draw with markers. Jacob wanted to draw on the dry erase board. Adam drew several houses and a fish. I’ve noticed lately that he draws mostly using his left hand. Though he can draw well with his right hand too. Jacob and I had fun drawing on the dry erase board. We drew roads and vehicles. I’d draw a road and then Jacob would add to it. We also added stop signs and buildings. When a building caught on fire we added a fire truck. We erased it and I began another road. Jacob turned the road into train tracks and he also drew a train. Adam got out the tools and Jacob went to play with them also. The boys and I worked on our water system until lunchtime. Jacob asked me to pretend to test the water in the sink. His pipe leaked and got me all wet. He put a c-clamp on his pipe and said, “We gotta put a generator on to get more water.” Then he said, “Mommy, I’m gonna put my scrubs (mitten) on and put my glasses on so I don’t get hurt.” Adam sat next to Jacob at the counter during lunch. We went outside after lunch. The boys liked watching the pinwheel spin in the wind. Then Jacob filled his wheel barrel with water and hauled it over to the flowerpot. He planted seeds (rocks) and watered them. Adam played with the rocks and sand. Jacob filled buckets with water and watered the new plants in my flowerbeds. It was close to snacktime when we came back inside. The boys had hot chocolate with their snack. I tucked Adam in for a nap around 2pm. He talked for about an hour before falling asleep. Jacob played with his automoblox and playdoh. We watched Curious George. Adam woke up at 5pm and asked to play with mega blocks. Jared got home around 5:30. Adam came outside to help me feed the animals. After dinner the boys played with tools and pieces of yarn. Jared didn’t have class this evening because he is on spring break. We relaxed for a little while and then he played some Wii sports. Jacob had a birthday party for me and we ate cake. After the boys were in pjs they ran around acting goofy. Jacob put up his fists and said, “Mommy, you wanna see my powerful trick?” After I read a book to Adam he usually says, “Me read?” I handed him the “Are you my Mother?” book and turned it to the first reading page. He said, “Wait. Wait a minite" and turned back to the very first page to point out the worm.
