Truman yawned as I snapped the picture.

Last night around 12am Jacob call to me saying he had to go potty. I turned on the hallway light and saw a HUGE mess out his bedroom door. Truman had diarrhea and it was all over the floor and wall in the hallway and into Jacob's bedroom and on his wall. Before I could say anything Jacob walked through it and down towards me. Jared took Jacob potty and changed his pjs while I started to clean up the mess. I have a very strong stomach but this mess had me almost vomiting - it was awful. I was going to have Jacob lay in our bed while we were cleaning but he just wanted to lay back in his bed and go to sleep. We had to have the lights on so Jacob put his blankets up over his head and fell right asleep. Started to clean the floor with our little carpet scrubber but I was making took many trips to the toilet to dump it. Had to get out the big carpet cleaner. I couldn't believe both boys didn't wake up with the loud vacuuming right out their door's (and in Jacob's room). Jared cleaned the walls and helped me until the mess was all cleaned up. He has a much weaker stomach than I and I really appreciated all his help. We dosed the house with smelly spray but it still didn't cover it completely. Anyway, Truman seems to be feeling ok today. Jacob came down to our bedroom this morning at 8:30 and I noticed he had a large bump under his eye and it was turning purple. He said he fell out of bed and took me to show me where hit his eye. He told me, "I said, Mommy, Mommy, I hurt me". Lately, if he gets hurt he says, "I hurt me" and doesn't say what it is he hurt. The last few days he has woke up with a dry pull-up. Adam woke up around 9am. Instead of cheerios this morning, I made Jacob scrambled eggs. He wasn't too sure at first but loved them after the first bite. Vikki called and said she was coming over. Jacob was really excited to see her. She played with him and read both boys some books. When she had to leave Jacob said, "no go bye bye Bippi, Bippi tay here". She had to leave to go to Kenzies school conference and Dr appt but promised him she would come back later. Jacob was very tired and fell asleep right away for his nap. While both boys were asleep I went outside to take care of the animals. Adam woke up from his nap around 4pm and we got some cuddle time in. Then he got down to play. He goes from one couch to the other pulling himself up. Its funny to watch him pull himself up on the couch because he usually bites the couch as he's pulls himself up. As he crawls around he is typically carrying pieces from the Dr kit or coins from his bank in his hand or mouth. When Daddy got home we went into Jacob's room to wake him up. Had to go to town for a few things and when we got home it was dinner time. Vikki came back like she had told Jacob she would. We watched American Idol. Vikki got to tuck Jacob into bed. After she had left I went into his bedroom and he said, "I call Bippi, Bippi Bippi, come get in me bed".

This is Adam asking for the magnetic barn.

Jacob made himself a bed on the chair.

Adam fell in the toybox.

The toybox lid makes a great flying saucer.

Brought both boys in bed with me this morning. Then we watched Clifford and had breakfast. Adam loves to play with (chew on) the doctor kit. He played while Jacob and I did some art things. I read some books to the boys and then we played until lunchtime. Adam likes to play with the magnetic barn while he's sitting in his highchair. I love how he asks for it by stretching his arm out towards it and looking at it just waiting for me to set it on his tray. Jacob never did take a nap today - after he had rested for a bit he and I went outside to take care of the animal. He sat on the tractor while I cleaned out the horse stall. Then he gave the sheep and goat a little corn in their dish. We gave all the animals their hay and water. One of the chickens suprised Jacob and flew out at him - he laughed. Jacob said his hands were cold and he wanted to go inside and warm up by the fire. I made us some hot chocolate. While we were drinking our hot choc Jacob got down and said, "I be right back, go warm up by pire - I hurry". Adam woke up and sat at the table with us and munched on some cheerios. This evening Adam was standing by the toybox getting some toys out and then we looked and he went face first into the toys. I sat him up and Daddy said we had to get a picture. It took him a little while before he would stand by it again. Daddy gave Jacob a ride on his toybox lid and then Jacob gave his Grover pupet a ride up and down the hallway. Watched American Idol before bed.

This morning Jared got stuck with his car in our icy driveway. He took the truck to work and stopped on his way to put air in the tires. He went into the gas station to get a pop and came out and fell down on the ice. Had a fun morning playing with blocks, reading books and playing with cars. Jacob likes to pretend he's a lion and says, "roar, I'm a lion, run away, run down hallway". Adam really likes to be chased. He crawls away as fast as he can, squirming and smiling as he anticipates getting tickled. When Jared came home from work both boys were asleep. He had picked up some salt and put it down by his car. We went out to the barn to get a stall ready for Maude and Lucy. For some reason that were not sure of Maude (our sheep) has lost all her wool except on her head. Lucy (one of our goats) has some patches of fur missing. We are keeping them in a stall so they can stay warm and get some extra care. I cleaned Sammy's stall and Jared filled up the horses water tank. We fed the cats and then went back inside. Adam was awake when we got inside. He was so cuddley and I rocked for a long time. When Jacob woke up he was ready for some cuddles from Mommy after giving Daddy a big hugg. This evening after the boys were in bed we let Shy (the lab were watching) run around the house. She was so happy to run around. Jared was playing with her and I sat on the couch and watched. I noticed Jacob peeking out his bedroom door and called him to come sit on the couch with me and so he could watch.

Well, I got up this morning and went to take the dog were watching outside. As I opened the door I noticed the porch was a sheet of ice. I had to be really careful going down the steps with an excited dog pulling on the leash. Due to the icy roads we decided to stay home today. Adam woke up around 8:30 and Jacob slept in until 9am. Got out the blocks this morning and we played a game with Jacob taking turns stacking blocks on top of each other. Daddy built neat things with the blocks and the boys had fun knocking them over. Then Daddy built a tent with a fitted sheet on the couch. Jacob had so much fun playing in the tent and pretended it was raining out. Daddy would stick his head out and pretend his face was getting all wet - this had Jacob laughing really hard. Jacob wanted Adam to come in too. Adam likes to stick things in his mouth and crawl around. Its so funny to see him crawling around the house with a coin or the toy tweezers in his mouth. I was laying down on the floor playing with the boys when I felt Truman's head lay down on top of my head. He's such a good dog and the boys (and us too) sure do love him. I got out 12-18 months clothes for Adam and packed away some of his clothes that don't fit. While the boys were napping I took a nap. I didn't sleep well last night so I was very tired. I lay on the couch and Jared watched the race and read a book. When Jacob woke up he wanted to lay on the couch with me. Mom and Dad came over this evening for a visit. They brought valentines gifts for the boys and Mom had also got them something from her Colorodo visit. Mom brought over chicken noodle casserole that she had made in her crockpot - it was really good. Jacob was a "Nana's boy" tonight. He wanted to sit next to her and read on the couch with the footrest up. When Nana got up and I sat in her spot next to him he quickly told me that was Nana's spot. Then he covered them up with his blanket and they played with his cars.

Got a call this morning from Mom saying that my Grandpa's dog was having some issues. He was having some anal gland issues. I told her we'd go there after our Sat am stop at Dunken Donuts and Tim Horton's. We got to Grandpa's house around 10am and stayed for a couple hours. Had a very nice visit. Adam loved playing with his dog cage. Jacob always has fun playing with his toy trucks. After we left there Jacob kept saying he wanted to go to Aunt Meme's house. We stopped over and the kids were so happy to see each other. Jacob really likes playing with Max's toy tractors. Mel made them some mac-n-cheese for lunch. Jacob ran to the kitchen to tell Aunt Missy the food was good. We headed for home around 1:30. Jacob helped me bake some heart cookies. The boys lay down for their naps a little late. Jacob never did fall asleep - but he lay in bed and rested. This evening Adam was not to happy about taking his bath so we made it quick. Jacob played in the tub for a long time and took all of his little people in with him.
