Adam had a hard time falling back to sleep this morning. Jacob heard him and woke up at 6:30. Adam fell back to sleep around 7am and slept until 8:15. Around 7am I invited Jacob to come lay in our bedroom. When I went to get dressed this morning Jacob pointed to my blue robe and said, "Mommy wear blue dress". I put it on and he said, "dat make Mommy feel all warm". While we were watching Clifford this morning Adam went over to the glider stool and lay his head on it. He layed like that watching Clifford for a couple minutes and it was so cute. We stopped at Salvation army on our way to Mom's. Right from Mom's house we left to got to McDonalds. Jacob was so excited. Mom treated us to lunch. Adam had some little bites of my grilled cheese and Jacob got a happy meal. We went into the crowded play room so Jacob could play. We had to wait for a table to sit at. We called Mel to bring the kids to play. When I told Jacob about them coming he said, "I toe ecited, tee Lailey, Max" and he jumped up and down. We all had lots of fun and the kids were excited when Papa also showed up. We stayed there until we had to pick up Kenzie from school at 2:45. Nana gave Jacob a shake n go Lightning McQueen back at her house - he and Kenzie had fun with that. Jacob took a nap, but Adam refused to sleep though he had taken several short naps in the car. We woke Jacob up around 4:40 to head over to Kenzie's volleyball game. Kenzie did a great job and can really slug the ball for her serves. Jacob also liked watching her play. We had dinner at Nana's house. Jacob and Kenzie played together in the tunnel with the cars. Then they went down to the basement to play where Daddy and Papa were playing pingpong. Got home around 9pm. Jacob got a package in the mail today. He was excited to open a new John Deere book - Thank-you Grandma R.

Adam woke up for the morning at 7:30. I listened to him talking in his crib. He was saying, "Mama, Mama" a lot and blowing through his lips making funny noises. Jacob was up around 8:15. We watched Curious George and Clifford. When Clifford came on I sang the song and he and I danced to the music. When the song was over Jacob looked at his fish and then at me and said, "yellow fish says good job". I got out Jacob's money that he's been saving which we are taking to the bank today. He started counting it and said, "count with me Mommy". Then he said, "I got money like Mommy does". While I was feeding Adam his breakfast I went to give him a bite and he shook his mouth and wouldn't take one. Then he reached for the cheerios box. He had ate all the cheerios on his tray and wanted more. Jacob and I had fun talking to Adam on the phone using the intercome. Adam smiled so big when he heard us talking. Then Jacob and I talked to each other. Jacob loves his walking sticks from Grandpa. He plays with them every day. We used them to hit a ball back and forth today. And he also likes to use them as a microphone, guitar or a violin as we sing. Adam found Jacob sippy cup of milk and went to take a drink of it. I took it away and switched it for his water. He put down his water while shaking his head no and reaching for Jacob's milk. Today we ate lunch a little early so we could meet Daddy at the blood bank at noon. Jacob liked watching Daddy get his blood drawn and especially liked the cookies and juice he got afterwards. Then I took Jacob to the bank to put his money into his savings account. He really liked that and also liked the sucker they gave him. Walked around Salvation army. Found a couple pair of shorts for Jacob and a couple kids books. The boys were so well behaved and we had such a fun day out. This evening we went out to Fazoli's for dinner. Daddy and Jacob had spagetti and Adam ate bites of my pizza. Adam also tasted my lemonaide and kept reaching his hands out to the cup begging for more. Tonight Adam said, "Titty" each time I pointed to my sister Vikki's picture and tried to get him to say her name. The boys were in bed by 9pm and then Jared and I watched Lost.

Adam woke up at 5:30 to nurse and then both boys slept in until 9am. We ate breakfast, got dressed and watched Sesame Street. Jacob loves to watch me feed the fish in the morning. He was giggling the whole time as we watched them eat and he would say, "now yellow fish, now black fish". I gave Jacob a haircut this morning and he never complain once. He just sat at the table and played with his cars. While I was nursing Adam Jacob got out his kids encyclopedia books. He put four of them on the floor and was excited to show me that he had arranged his books in the shape of a square. He pointed and said, "look Mommy, I made a square". For lunch Adam ate green beans and apples. If he didn't want a bite of the veggies he'd shake his head no (keeping his mouth shut) and reach his hand for the fruit. Then I'd give him a spoonful of fruit and he'd open wide. Green beans seem to be his least favorite veggie though he still eats them pretty good. Jacob and I had fun driving our "tractor" (stools) this afternoon. Adam came and sat on my lap to play with us. We had lots of fun. Jacob pretended we were halling corn and we carried buckets of corn to dump in our trailer. My Dad and a guy from his church came by for a short visit. They took me by suprise as my Dad walked in the door saying "is anyone home". I didn't know who was just walking in the house. Jacob was really excited to see Papa and showed him the fish. They couldn't stay long because Dad was working. Adam seems to be trying to get in the standing position from a crawling position. He gets on his hands and feet with his knees bent and looks like he's trying to get up. Also today he will be crawling and then just plop onto his belly with his arms and legs spread out and his head on the floor. He smiles and loves when I come over and tickle his sides. Adam was very tired and took a 3hr nap. Jacob layed in his bed and rested while looking at books. I got him up and asked him if he wanted to help me feed the animals. We bundled up to go outside. Jacob put his mittens on by himself. It felt really nice outside (low thirtys and sunny). The driveway was very icy. Jacob and I took hands as we walked to the barn and we almost fell several times. Sammy was in his stall waiting for his grain. Jacob said, "I wanna help feed Sammy". He gave him and scoop of grain and then patted him his head saying, "good boy Sammy". He played on the tractor while I watered Nutmeg. We then fed the sheep and the goats and then the cats. As we walked back to the house Jacob fell on his butt and said, "ough, I hurt me butt". He decided it was best to hold my hand. Took the dogs inside and cleaned them off - they were muddy. Then Jacob wanted to go back outside and play. We went outside until Adam woke up. Adam sat at the table with us and munched on cheerios while Jacob had a hot chocolate. He said, "I have hot chocolate milk, Mommy have coffee". When Daddy got home we had dinner and then headed into town. Walked around the mall. Took the kids in the kids section of Barnes and Noble and Jacob went right over to the train table. Then we walked over to Sears to look at their lawn mower tractors. Before leaving we stopped to let the boys play. Jacob ran around with this tall 5yr old boy. Jacob would stop to rub the little toddlers on their heads or backs. Adam had fun crawling all over. He especially liked crawling back and forth over the handle of the big toothbrush. A lady knelt by Adam and talked to him. He smiled at her and then crawled really fast over to me. We made it home by 8pm when American Idol started. Daddy played cars with Jacob at the counter (one of his favorite places to play). Adam cuddled in the chair with me. I nursed him and read him his bedtime story, cuddled with him a little longer and then tucked him in bed. I took Jacob to brush his teeth and Daddy read to him. Then I tucked him in and we said a prayer. He now prays that Daddy, Jacob and Adam don't get sick. Today we started the boys their own savings accout at our bank. The bank has a savingzone kids club and the each time the boys put money in their account they get a stamp. A certain number of stamps gets them a prize.

The boys seem to be feeling much better today. Jacob came in bed with me around 7am. He has started saying "I love you" on his own without us saying it first. This morning Jacob ate rice crispies and a banana for breakfast. He liked when I put the cerel up to his ear and let him listen to it crackle. Adam woke up around 8:30. He likes to bounce and sing. He sings, "la la la la" or a few other variations. He also copies me if I stick out my tongue or shake my head yes or no. When he tries to shake his head yes it more of a bounce up and down. Adam loves to ride on my shoulders as we play train through the house. Jacob really laughs when I say were headed to the bathroom to brush our teeth but we pass it and we have to back up. We played "doctor" and I took care of Jacob's sick puppy. He always holds the puke dish and has the puppy puke in it. Adam really likes Truman lately. He climbs over him or lays by him with a big smile. The boys fell asleep for their naps really quick but neither slept very long. When Jared got home from work Jacob brought the jenga game to him and asked to play. He brought his stool for them to play on. I went outside to take care of the animals. Clarence (our goat) has become very friendly. As I take them their hay he is always standing right by my side. He loves me to scratch his side and rub his horns. After breakfast Jacob helped me make rice crispy treats. Jacob had fun playing in the bath tub. After he gets out he always run in his towel to Daddy and snuggles with him. Watched American Idol tonight.

Here are some pictures of the boys brushing their teeth this morning. They are both doing better today. The had a little diarrhea but no puking all day. It was warm out this morning - 42 degrees outside. Jacob love watching the birds out the window. Again today both boys took long naps. I got some laundry folded and went outside to take care of the animals. After Jared got home we went to the grocery store for a few things. Took the boys by the fish and hamsters. Jacob likes to help us at the self check out. He sat in the back of the cart and handed me items to scan. Then he pushed the cart over for Daddy to load the bags in. Jacob really likes when Daddy catches him and Mommy "saves" him. Then he and I tickle Daddy. Adam likes to join right in and pat Daddy. We played "doctor" this evening. Jacob brought me his puppy to check out and then we did an exam on Adam. Then Jacob pretended to be the doctor and I the patient. They were both very tired at bedtime. After I tucked Jacob in he said to me, "Mommy go out, I gotta go to leep". He fell asleep very quickly.

We all had a great night sleep last night. Because of the coffee I drank so late last night I had a hard time falling asleep. I slept until Adam woke me at 5:45am. For the first time today I was prepared for him to puke after I nursed him. He didn't puke though. Jacob came down to our bed at 8am. As I fill up the buckets of corn from the gravity wagon one of our hens was waiting to clean up any that missed the bucket. I threw her a couple handfuls of corn. Adam puked a little after his breakfast this morning but that was it for the day. Jacob ate a few cheerios and drank some milk this morning. We went into town to get some fish and as we walked into PetSmart Jacob said he wanted to get a yellow fish. We all had fun walking through the pet store. Adam gets really excited when we walk by the parakeets and also loved looking at the fish. We left with one black and one yellow fish to add to our tank. Made "Grandma's grilled cheese" sandwiches for lunch. Instead of making them in the frying pan Grandma would toast them, put cheese on them, wrap them in a paper towel, and stick them in the microwave. When I make them they always bring back great memories. They boys were tired and took 3+ hr naps. Jacob woke up first and played with Daddy while I went outside to take care of the animals. By the time I came in Adam was awake. Jacob wanted pizza for dinner. I made pizza rolls and he ate a couple. He ate a couple bites of applesauce. I tucked Adam in his crib and then went into Jacob's room where Daddy was tucking him in. He sat up and puked all over his bed and a little on the floor. He always pukes out of his nose too and panackes like he can't breath. The John Deere book that he sleeps with every night got covered. While I cleaned up the mess Jacob sat on the couch with Daddy. Then I sat by him and rubbed his head for a while.

Here's what the tank looked like yesterday.

Jacob got his yellow fish.

The fish tank now.

Jacob came down to our bedroom at 1:30am and said he had to use the potty. I tucked him back into bed and went back to bed. At 3am Jacob came down to our bedroom crying saying, "I puked out me nose". I took him back to his bedroom to clean him up. There was puke all over the room but the majority of it was on his blankey. It was on the wall by his bed and all the way across to the other side of the room. Daddy came and took him to lay in bed with him. I changed his sheets and got his blanket in the wash. Then I got out the floor cleaner. It was hard to get the stain out of the floor but the resolve got it out. I took Jacob back to his bed and tucked him in. He saw his clean sheets and said, "tanks Mommy". By this time his blanket was done but the stains hadn't come out. I used the stain remover on them and put it in for another cycle. I lay down in bed and Jacob called out saying, "I pooped". He had diarrhea so I got him cleaned up and back in bed. Adam woke up around 4am crying. I was comforting him and Jacob called out saying he pooped again. I tucked Adam back in bed and went to take care of Jacob. I lay back down in bed and around 4:15 Jacob came running down the hall. He was covering his mouth saying, "I gonna puke". I didn't get the bathroom door opened in time and he puked on the floor in the hallway. He had also puked in his bed. Got him tucked in bed and then went to srub the hallway floor. Then I tried to comfort a crying Adam, Jacob had diarrhea again. Adam fell back to sleep around 5am. I lay back down and Jacob said he had pooped again. I changed him and threw the pull-up away in the trash in Adam's room. Adam woke up so I nursed him a little early. After I was done nursing Adam he puked. Got him changed into some dry clothes and tucked back in bed. Jacob woke up around 8am and I didn't even hear him. Jared took him out to watch Curious George and Clifford. I woke up when Adam woke up close to 9am. I went outside to take care of the animals and it felt so nice outside. It was 25 degrees and sunny and the birds were singing. Jacob really wanted to get donuts and choc milk so we decided to go and hope he could keep it down. He hasn't had any sort of an appetite and has only wanted to drink water. Jared also tried a plain donut and some oj. We walked through Salvation army and Goodwill. Adam was bouncing to the music while sitting in the cart. Then we went to the pet store. Jacob loves walking through the pet store. He really enjoyed looking at everything and got to pet a guiny pig. We got home around noon. Jacob really didn't want anything for lunch but did eat a couple bites of a banana and a couple bites of jello. Jacob was excited to open his valentines card from Hailey. Adam also liked his. He cried when I took it away. (Thank-you Hailey! You write your name so well and the hearts look so pretty.) Adam took a 3hr nap and Jacob slept for 5 hrs and we had to wake him up. He was so tired that he fell asleep for his nap in minutes. While they were asleep I worked on cleaning our fish tank that has been sitting in the barn for years. It and everything in it was very dirty. I also washed the stand and spray painted it. Shortly after we woke Jacob up our electricity went out. I was nursing Adam and Jacob was sitting on the couch when it went out. Jared was out in the barn. Jacob cried and said, "Turn lights back on Mommy". It was so dark. Jacob had fun when we lite all the candles and he helped me decide where to put different candles. Went to the neighbors house and Jared used their phone to call consumers. Went to town to call my Mom and let her know we had to give her number to consumers. We wanted her to know what was up in case they called her. A friend that I used to work with let me use her cell phone. I ran into Salvation army to get a cheep corded phone and Jared went down the road to get me a coffee. Jared went into Lowe's to get an extention cord to plug the corn burner into the generator so we could heat the house. Also stopped to get some gas. The consumer truck arrived at the house just before us. Jacob was excited watching them out the window. He called to me saying, "Mommy dear going up, ewe wanna tee, ewe wanna tee". I knelt on the couch by him to watch for a little bit and then went to lite some more candles. They got the power back on quickly.
